Page 5 - The Surveyor Half a century of seagoing in the Royal Navy and Royal Naval Reserve, in Square Riggers, in large fore and aft Sail Training vessels and in private yachting, with long experience in the Command, Operation, Re-fitting, Repair and Surveying of Steel, Timber and GRP seagoing vessels, together with Consultancy in the Marine Industry. In the non-maritime sector, Leadership, Management and Organisational Consultancy has been applied in off-shore Oil and Gas production, light and heavy manufacturing and in the service industries and business. This Surveyor adheres rigidly to the ethical and moral code of conduct applicable to the profession of Marine Surveying and Consultancy, which requires that a practitioner shall discharge his professional responsibilities with integrity and shall at all times act without prejudice and report in a fair and factual manner.
Strict client confidentiality, Non acceptance of any commissions or hidden payments from Brokers, Boatyards, Contractors or others, The declaration of any financial or conflict of interests in a vessel, product or service which is the subject of investigation. He shall not under any circumstances undertake work for a client on a vessel if he has any pecuniary interest in the Ownership of that vessel or where his independence and client obligations could be compromised.
